Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Casey grew up in NYC between Flatbush, Brooklyn and the Upper West Side, Manhattan. Early on, he wanted to be a writer, then a painter and finally a lawyer (I know the last one does not fit but it will make sense later in the story). iN high school he worked on newsletter as an editor and was charged with putting pictures with the stories. Every weekend he had a camera in his hand and was zipping off to shoot and meet a deadline. Once he got into Harvard, he put the camera down and focused on his career. Fastforward six years and Casey returned from Boston and London to NYC and his camera. As he did once before, he taught himself how to shoot again and quickly honed his portraiture skills. After a couple years of candid street photography, Casey convinced a few friends to pose for him as he started shooting in the studio and on location. "I felt that connecting with my photo subjects was not only an art but the best and most important part of the shoots", Casey recalls. Casey's professionalism and artistic vision quickly gained him notoriety as his unique style was breathtaking, and easily recognizable as his.
Casey was asked to shoot a variety of portraits over the last few years including boutique lines, birthday parties, first family picture, weddings and the list goes on. Casey has chosen to remain an independent photographer in order to create surreal images and choose his cientelle. He shoots out of a home studio in Greenwich, CT as well as a shared studio space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. "I love creating vibrant imagery for my subjects. But I also like spending time with my girlfriend and family. Every shoot is a unique challenge, with unique possibilities."
Although Casey is highly selective, he is always open to new projects. No job is too big or too small. Call Casey today. You won't regret it.
